Access to DAK2 Module Blocked?

The link on the Gamer’s Archive page, the one that reads " More Vassal Modules Here" does not seem to be working. Can anyone help me with this as I’d like to get the DAK2 and Burma module. While I’m here has the EG. Gladiator been added to the module? Sorry to be picky.

Thanks to whoever fixed this link.

Sorry I did not know it was broken until last nite.

I’m trying to find the module for DAK2 and for some reason it doesn’t show as any links. The link in the text doesn’t work. Thought I would post here and ask for some help. Thank you.

Tar I downloaded that… But I am not finding a module in the zip file, just an image folder, build file, and info file. What am I missing to find the mod? Sorry, haven’t really used this much and this is my first real attempt to spend alot of time on it.

The zip file IS the module. Don’t unzip it.

Module Designers, PLEASE do not rename modules as .zip files when distributing them, it just confuses people.

Unfortunately, sometimes your “helpful” browser will add the extension

That just happened to me with the Tunisia module.

Thanks again folks! Now I need to figure out why its prompting me for a password…

Thus spake “Paladin132”:

The file you downloaded is the module. Try loading it.

When we put up the new site, we’re going to regularize the extensions
of all of the modules.

And make sure they’re all sent as ‘application/octet-stream’ (assuming
there’s no mime-type registered for VASSAL mods).

I’m pretty sure this is where part of the problem comes - the web server
checks ‘magic’, thinks the MOD looks like a ZIP, sets content-type
appropriately, and Windows / IE promptly changes the extension on the
user’s behalf.

I’ll do that.

I’m planning to register vmod, vsav, and vlog with IANA as soon as I find
the time, so then we’d be able to send them as application/vnd.vassal.vmod,
application/vnd.vassal.vsav, and application/vnd.vassal.vlog.
