I’ll hold my hand up now and say I am very new to Vassal (minutes new in fact). I am trying open up BSG in Vassal. I have downloaded all the expansions but can only open the main game as a vassal module. How do I get the other expansions to work in vassal please?

The expansions are not modules, they are module extensions. You have
to add them to the module in the Module Manager. Right-click on the
module to bring up a context menu.
