Can't connection to vassal server, Help please!

I am able to start a mod, but when I try to connect to play a game on-line I get a connection error.

My system is:
Model: Dell Inspiron 560
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E7500 @ 2.93 Ghz
Memory: 8 GB
Video: Dell IN1910N
Java: Version 7 Update 5 (Build 1.7.0_05-b05)
Module: Axis&allies_2.0, AxisAllies_v1 & DDM2 (1st two downloaded from site, last sites.google.com/site/ddmgnoll/links-downloads)

I can start Vassal and log the Mod. I select “Look for game online” in the start-up wizard and eventually I get the following Network Communication Error (used Axis&allies_2.0 for this example, but get same error in all mods):
java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect

I was last able to connect and play on-line on June 18th. Whenever I have tried to connect since then I get the communication error.

I will check this thread at least once a day (usually my evenings, after work). If there is any other information you need to help me fix this, let me know.

Thanks much!

It looks like your copy of VASSAL is having trouble connecting to
vassalengine.org in order to find the game server. Are you able to
load vassalengine.org/util/getServerImpl manually?

J.

I am not sure. When I click the link, I end up on a page that says this

type = node
nodeHost = two.vassalengine.org
nodePort = 5050

This means your browser is successfully connecting to vassalengine.org.
So it appears not to be a global probelm, that it’s the VASSAL client
which can’t connect.

Is your firewall blocking VASSAL? Disable it temporarily and try
connecting to the game server with VASSAL.
