I have been working on a mod designed in VASSAL 3.0. At some stage I will make a VASSAL 3.1x version of it.
Is there a process I should follow to convert my 3.0 mod in to a 3.1x mod? Or do you just open it up in 3.1x and save it?
I noticed that when I opened up my 3.0 mod using 3.1x I saw some odd messages. Are there some functions that orginally created in 3.0, now need to be edited (extra information added) in 3.1x so that they are fully defined?
While I am here, may as well ask where I can view a FULL list of all the improvements/updates in VASSAL 3.1x?
There have been raltively few changes to the actual module structure. In general, a 3.0 module should open and play unchanged on 3.1.
There has, however, been a huge overhaul in the way Vassal and Module bugs are detected and reported. Many bugs in both Vassal and individual modules where being inadvertantly suppressed and are now reported.
What messages? Please try the just released beta-5 version, it has further updates to the error reporting functionality.
Not as far as I am aware.
Check out Joel’s notice on the beta 5 release in the forum, it has a list.
