I have an iMac and use OpenOffice for my documents. I have tried to set up rules and module instruction documents to use in vassal modules but have failed miserably. I can’t get it to work. Is there an example somewhere I can use or instructions on how the document needs to be set up?

What specifically have you tried? How is it failing?

I could not get the html help file function to work. I do not know if the file I created in OpenOffice was done correctly or how it should be formatted. Should it be saved as a txt file? Does the extension matter? I have rules and examples with graphics that I want t include in the module.

In what format was the file you created in OO? You need to save the
file as HTML—which I believe is possible, but is not something I’d
recommend using OO to author. Saving your work as a text file won’t
get you HTML output.
