is anyone working on a dystopian wars module? i would really love that but i have zero programming skills 
or even the old rules for firestorm armada
You really don’t need programming skills to MAKE a module, because maps and game pieces are just inert pieces of chipboard.
Adding tools into the module that facilitate frequent actions typically require some light programming abilities.
If you start the process with high resolution, well aligned scans, I’m sure someone will help you with it.

If you don’t know what you’re doing, using an MGO (Machine Generated Overconfidence) tool isn’t going to help, because YOU can’t tell the difference between what’s correct, and confidently presented bullshit.
There is a very good manual about HOW to create Vassal modules.
You can also use these tutorials, including a video tutorial put out by the nice people at GMT games, and another one posted at the BoardGameGeek (.com) site.
It is good form to give a link to further information about such a game - for example to the games BoardGameGeek page - e.g., Dystopian Wars 4th Edition - just so that we all know what you are talking about. Use the tool in the toolbar or write

to make a link.
I would be remiss I didn’t mention the Documentation Index, and especially posts under the heading Module Creation. There you will find many articles on specific and general features, links to tutorial videos, tools, and so on.
Anyone can contribute to this heading, and if someone has something that should mentioned or linked, then they should go ahead and do so.
A search in the forum will also typically bring up a question or two as well as answers that could be of help. Note the check-mark next to posts - that means the poster got a satisfactory answer, so there may be something for you there too.
