error when trying to add extension

I am running Vassal 3.2.2
When loading the Combat Commander Europe module (version 2.2) everything goes ok.
However when I try to add extensions things go bump.
The following error message is given with all available extensions:

UNABLE TO WRITE FILE
VASSAL was unable to write the file ‘C:\Program Files (x86)\VASSAL\Combat_Commander_Europe_ext’.

Anyone a solution for this ?
Hope to hear

Close the subject please, just solved the problem.

Had nothing to do with Vassal but with the fact that I had to make Vassal a writable folder in my windows environment.

Thus spake RenevandenAssem:

Ack! Don’t do that. Writing data to the directory where a program is
installed is not the correct solution.

What’s the path where you’re storing your module and extension files?

J.

I did not put it into another directory.
Under windows we have several users in this house on the same computer.
However this means that sometimes you have to change the admin rights for a folder to be used as writable.
So under windows I changed the admin rights for this folder to be writable.

Now Vassal will write the extension files as should be

Hope my English is good enough Uckelman, otherwise I could try to explain in Dutch.

BTW do you play Combat Commander on Vassal ?
