# Error When Uploading New Module

I’m getting a syntax error when trying to upload a module file. Any suggestions?

What is the version number specified inside the module?

Module version is 3.2. Or do you mean VASSAL software version?

I’m asking what version number you see if you open the module in the editor and go to the properties dialog for the root node of the module—the same place where the game name is set.

Ahh, I see. I changed it to match the “Module” setting on the page and it works now. Thanks!

You know, this is a place where the error message could be better.
