Flattop2Wim Module

When I try to pick a side (Join game as…), I get the following error:

An untrapped error has occurred
NoSuchFieldError
retireButton

Any ideas?

Thus spake “dholmes0”:

  1. Which version of VASSAL are you using?

  2. What’s in th errorLog? We need to have the complete errorLog in order
to see what the problem is.

  1. VASSAL 3.0

  2. Can’t find an errorLog file. Where would it be?

Thus spake “dholmes0”:

Which VASSAL 3.0? I need to know the the complete version number.
It should be 3.0.x. (You can find this under Help > About.)

It would be in ~/VASSAL, where ‘~’ represents your home directory.

3.0.17

Still no errorLog file. Under the VASSAL-3.0 directory, there is only a VASSAL batch file, a VASSAL .sh file and a lib directory which contains executable Jar files.

This module only works with VASSAL 2.5, not any of the later versions of VASSAL

Thus spake “Sabreman”:

The module contains some custom code. The problem appears to be that
FlatTop.FlatTopPlayerRoster.setRetireButtonIcon() tries to use a field
which was removed between VASSAL 2.5 and VASSAL 2.6.

The module designer (or someone elase who knows Java) needs to fix this.
