I recently setup an online room in Vassal to play GTS Operation Mercury solo, in case anyone dropped by. I had a problem closing the room. Eventually I did this using ctrl alt del procedure. I reloaded the module and my saved game and found my old room with me in it. I have a ghost I was unable to remove and concerned it will be there when others log in. I could synch with myself but unable now to close the room. Not sure what to do…
You end up with a ghost anytime someone gets suddenly disconnected from the server. My experience has been the ghost vanishes after a few minutes. Never had it happen to the room creator, though, so I’m not sure what happens to room ownership in that case.
