Hi Guys
None of my Vassal games are working. When i select game it goes straight to the game screen with the bar across the top with some tabs. Just blank box underneath. No map, no nothing. Same on every game. Can anybody help please?

Hi. Thanks for the reply. Yes I’ve figured it out now. Never had to go to file before. Always got option on screen to start new game.

Did/could something have happened that changed your preferences? Also under File/Preferences/General.
The “Wizard” questions sound like what you mention. (Red Box)
Pro Tip: If you every play vassal live with some one. the first thing I do is un-select “center on opponents moves” (orange box) to keep my screen from jumping all over the place. Having it on when watching a Vlog is nice to see where the pieces are that are moving.

The option Ask “Wizard” questions at startup in the start-up Wizard and File→Preferences→General→Ask “Wizard” questions at startup, should only be un-checked if one knows what one is doing. The wizard guides one to set-up a game, and in the absence of that, one will have to do the steps one self. The process is the same in both cases, so arguably there’s really no point in un-checking the options.
What is perhaps not obvious to all, is that if one un-checks Ask “Wizard” questions at startup in the start-up Wizard, then that setting is stored in ones preferences, and so Vassal will not show the wizard the next time the module is loaded. To re-enable the wizard, one has to check File→Preferences→General→Ask “Wizard” questions at startup.
