I’m french and i’m working on my fisrt module on vassal : so you’ll excuse my newbieness !!
I’m trying to highlight some zones but I can’t :
When I create a zone, I tag “use highlight” with the property wich is the name of the highlight.
Then I create the highlight with the same name.
And nothing works …
It’s seems normal : in a prededent topic, someone has the same problem with highlighting zones and Brent answered … but (may be it’s my no-understanding of the language) I don’t understand what Brent said and I don’t understand what to do.
It seemed logical to put in the property the name of the highlight but it’s not working like this apparently …

This is where you are going wrong. The tag ‘Use Highlight’ should not contain the name of the highlighter. It must contain the name of a Property whose value is the name of the highlighter.
The property can be a Dynamic Property, or a Global Property.
This allows the highlight to be changed during the game by changing the value of the Property.
You need to make the discarding of the piece change the Global Property that the sets the Zone Hightlighter. You can do this with a Trigger Action trait and a Set Global Property trait.
