I have a board which consists of a set of face-down (or invisible) tiles. Generally these tiles get turned face-up (or made visible) during the game as units move onto them.
One of the actions that players are allowed to do is to research face-down tiles, looking at them and retaining information about them until they are officially turned face-up. A player who has not researched the tile will not see this information. Multiple players can research the same tile. Masking or invisibility would seem to be a good fit, but I need to change the set of players that can/cannot see a tile. Any suggestions on how to go about this?
I am not surprised you havent got answer to this question. As I see changeing ownership in vassal is a torture. Even to trade a card you can use a temporary always-face-down deck, not to mention what you wanted. A simple hotkey function to Restricted Acces Trait could solve this, but current version don’t have this feature.
