Invisible Text Labels - Why they are useful

It’s a BUG! NO IT’S A FEATURE…

So, if you haven’t noticed, it’s possible to set both the TEXT COLOR and BACKGROUND COLOR of a text label to “nil”

This seems pointless (why do you need invisible text labels?) - however, I have found a clever use for it…

It’s a way to attach data to a unit, that can be extracted via the “Text Capture Tool” (which records label information).

In my case, I want to be able to capture a date in YYYYMMDD format (e.g., 19410622 - Barbarossa start), but I don’t need to display that data during the game. I’m capturing it specifically for offline spreadsheet analysis…

So, if anyone ever notes a “bug” regarding invisible text labels - It’s a feature… (that is being used!)
