Is Copy and Paste possible from vassal to another vassal??

Dumb question:

Is “Copy” of one feature possible when editing one Vassal module and then “Paste” that feature into another Vassal module?

(I have tried to “Copy and Paste” from one vassal module to another previously, and after Copying, the Paste is always not highlighted when I click on the other vassal module.)

I have several modules that are similar covering different battles that I want to add an elaborate chart to.

This chart will take many days to create, and include many automated Vassal features, etc.

It would be so easy to make the chart ONCE within ONE Vassal module, then “copy and paste” that automated chart into the additional vassal modules.

If not, I would have to make the same elaborate chart MANY times.

Thanks.

It’s not going to be easy to do this in V3.2.

  • You could create the chart once in an empty module and then build all of
the modules you want to contain that chart from copies.

  • You could hand-edit the module’s buildFile, copying the parts you want
that way. This is very easy to do incorrectly even if you understand the
    buildFile format.

I don’t have any better suggestions to offer for V3.2; for V4, you’ll
have human-readable XML which you can cut and paste.

Thanks for the quick reply.
