Java Download Failed:/TIMEOUT=3000

I get this message when I try to install the recently downloaded vassal 3.2.17. I’ve re-downloaded and same thing happens. This is a new computer, Windows 10, maybe I need to do something with the firewall?

You’re getting a timeout when the VASSAL installer is trying to download
Java. Installing Java first should work around this problem for you.

If you have a 64-bit machine running Windows, pick one for a a 64-bit
machine running Windows.

For example, on this page

java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

the one you want is “Windows Offline (64-bit)”.
