Reinstalled Java, same result…I have used Vassal for years ad never seen this before.
Do you have any antivirus or anti-malware software running? Some AV programs will silently move and quarantine the Java executable upon detection. This would prevent Java from running.
Well that was the trick…Avast had quarantined it, thank you so much!
