The fort counter is in the Reinforcements stacks in the standard setup. The rules, I believe, only allow for one fort per faction, so the single counter should suffice. Note that you can select the reinforcement stack and leaf through it using the arrow keys.
The Piece Palette of the module is hidden (edit the module to disable this). This can be changed by editing the module, but that probably shouldn’t be needed.
