Module edit help

I am finding that if I’m getting an error when I unzip/rezip a module.
I’m using Windows 10 Pro…

I originally got the error when I added an image file (.png), but when I tried making no changes, I still get the error…

Specifically:

  1. Change file extension from .vmod to .zip
  2. Unzip (extract all)
  3. Click on the new folder
  4. Click - Share-ZIP
  5. Change file extension from .zip to .vmod
  6. Attempt to use the module gives “Error - Invalid Vassal Module”

Any advice?

You’ve not rezipped the module correctly.

Compare the contents of the root directory of the original module to
the contents of the root directory of the rezipped module. You’ll find
they are not the same.

Use a good quality archiving tool to open your modules directly without all the fuss of renaming their file extensions back and forth. 7zip is but one example.
