# Module update: Gettysburg - 125th Anniversary Edition

There is a new version of [**Gettysburg - 125th Anniversary Edition**](https://vassalengine.org/wiki/Module:Gettysburg:_125th_Anniversary_Edition) available.

(“Gettysburg - 125th Anniversary Edition”, “Gettysburg - Smithsonian Edition”, and “Gettysburg '88” are all names for the _exact_ same game. The main difference is that the Smithsonian Edition was published in a different sized box. Rules, counters, map, etc. are all the same.)

This version ([`GettysburgSmithsonian-1.0.vmod`](https://vassalengine.org/wiki/File:GettysburgSmithsonian-1.0.vmod)) includes

- Battle markers
- Automatic odds markers
- Automatic battle resolution
- Optional rules selection
- Embedded rules
- Moved and battle markers automatically cleared
- Symbolic dice
- Tutorial based on replay in [_The General_, **Vol.25** , #5, p6-14](https://www.vftt.co.uk/files/AH%20The%20General/The%20General%20Vol%2025%20No%205.pdf#page=6)
- Contest 147 ([_The General_, **Vol 25** , #5, p16](https://www.vftt.co.uk/files/AH%20The%20General/The%20General%20Vol%2025%20No%205.pdf#page=16)) and its  
solution ([_The General_, **Vol 25** , #6, p59](https://www.vftt.co.uk/files/AH%20The%20General/The%20General%20Vol%2025%20No%206.pdf#page=59))

The module is based on my Print’n’Play version of the game available (soon) from [BoardGameGeek](https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/1576/gettysburg-125th-anniversary-edition/files) and [GitLab](https://gitlab.com/wargames_tex/sgb_tex).
