Version 3.0.0 of the [module for The British Way](https://vassalengine.org/library/projects/The_British_Way_Counterinsurgency_at_the_End_of_Empire) incudes support for the new games “Arab Revolt”, and “Japanese Occupation”, and the new variants and v2 updates to the old games.

Thanks very much for this, excellent work. One small issue. Punishment and Operation chits in Arab Revolt are sometimes drawn at random and sometimes ‘selected’. When ‘selected’ a specific chit can be drawn. There does not seem to be any way of selecting a chit. Of course, I might be misreading the rules.

Thanks for your comments. I am on holiday at the moment, and have no way of checking the module, but as far as I remember, I did make it possible to select specific chits. Try right-clicking on the stack of chits. Hopefully, that will give you the possibility of selecting a specific chits.

If not, I have goofed, and I’ll correct it when I return home in September. Until then you’ll have to take out all the chits (there are not a lot of them), pick the one you need, and put them back into the stack where they can be drawn randomly.

Perhaps I should also add that all the hard work for the module was done by @Alexander331bc . I took over and added the automations, and some finishing touches. Any bugs are due to me.

Thanks for the response. The right click does not do anything. As you say there are not many chits so it is no real problem to flip them until you find the one you need and then return the rest to the deck. I really appreciate having the expansion available on Vassal.

Version 3.0.1 is now available. The Punishment and Operation chits can now be selected by right-clicking the deck.

I also made it impossible to use the Deep Jungle variant unless the extended event deck of 27 cards is chosen.

Some more bugs have been found (some of them serious), and a few improvements. These are the changes:

### Change Log v.3.1.0

**Japanese Occupation:**

- Serious bug fixed: Some pieces disappeared instead of being sent to Available (actually it was sent to the Malaya game!).
- Bug fix: Opposition in Kedah had wrong right-click menu.
- Bug fix: Moving the Resistance marker manually did not register the value internally.
- Bug fix: Propaganda Round Reset button did not shuffle and redistribute the Intel chits.
- New: Propaganda Round: Reset now supports the card J25 “John Morris” in the sense that a note is given when a Force 136 placed on the card is to be returned to the map.
- Change: Propaganda Round: MPAJA button now gives a note when there are too few MPAJA to place in all spaces with Opposition.
- New: Jungle Bases now have a right-click command (CTRL+S) to replace with a Supply Cache.
- Change: Supply Caches can now be deleted (CTRL+D) and removed from the game entirely.
- Change: Kempeitai can now be deleted (CTRL+D) and removed from the game entirely.

**Arab Revolt:**

- Serious bug fix: Some pieces disappeared instead of being sent to Available (actually it was sent to the Palestine game!).
- Setup correction: There is now a Police in Gaza instead of Rebel Guerrilla

**General:**

- Change: When a counter is put into an Available Box, it is now sent directly to the appropriate stack in the box. This is because the automation can go awry if units are not in their right stacks.
- New: All games have got two pawns that reproduce when they are dragged to another location. This should remove the necessity to open the palette, or use the awkward CTRL+P shortcuts.
- Change: The player name “Insurgent” has been changed to “Insurgent/Japanese” because in “Japanese Occupation” the opposing player to the British is the Japanese.
- Change: Many units that cannot be deleted now has CTRL+D sending them to the Available Box. This is in addition to the correct CTRL+R. But be aware that some units can in fact be really deleted with this command.
