Module Updater question

I’m uncertain about how this works in Windows. I created a file and let Vassal put the extension on (x-updater.jar for module x). I double-clicked it per the instructions in the local help on Module Updater, but nothing happened. What am I missing here? Do I need to run something from the command line?

Make sure that the updater .jar file is in the same folder as the module you want to update, and that the module has the same name as when you created the updater file. You can run the updater from a command line with ‘java -jar x-updater.jar’ and check the output, but it shouldn’t be necessary to run from a command prompt.
