Need to continuously synchronize

I play a couple of times a week with friends to “The Longest Day” and very often I lose synchronization with the game, while my friends have no problems.

Could you give me some help ?

Thank you very much,
sasukotuk

Losing synch is due to a problem with the connection between you and
the server. Where along the line the connection is flaky is not
something we can help you with. We do have plans to improve our
server’s connection to the internet later this month, so if the problem
is on our end, this might help you.

Thanks. I’ll talk with my ISP.

Another question. When I close Vassal, I can see in my Task Manager, a open “java.exe” with a lot of virtual memory. I must close it to avoid hanging system.

It will be resolved in future releases?

That shouldn’t be happening. How are you closing VASSAL?

J.

Steps I follow:
-Open Vassal 3.2.8
-Double click in “The Longest Day” 0.1.1
-One “java.exe” in Task Manager
-Star new game offline
-Close game
-Quit mod
-Quit Vassal
-The “java.exe” continuous in Task Manager
The same goes “Battle for Normandy 2.0” and “Vassal Tour 1.3”

It looks like you’re having the same problem as the one on this
thread:

VASSAL Does not start up again after first time quit - #16 by uckelman

Try the test build there and post the errorLog from it.

the same happens

Is this what was in the errroLog after you closed VASSAL? I don’t
see any of the entreis in the errorLog which should be there from
an attempt to close the Module Manager.

J.

No. I can’t find the logfile.
I see “show error log” in the menu bar and copy-paste in notepad before close Vassal.
Could you tell me where can I find the file you need?

See vassalengine.org/wiki/Error_Logs

“C:\Documents and Settings<username>\VASSAL” but I have not any file with vassal name. And “show hidden files” is active.

This file must exist, since what the Module Manager shows you in the
error log dialog is the contents of this file. Did you replace
with your Windows username?

J.

Finally I found it!
The correct adress was “C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\VASSAL”
Attach the errorLog

You appear to be having the same problem as the user on this thread:

Try the suggestions in the last post.

I have not found “C:\Users\tread_000\AppData\Roaming\VASSAL\tmp” but yes “C:\Documents and Settings\User\AppData\VASSAL\tmp”
-Deleted all files in tmp
-Reinstalled Java 7-45
-Rebooted
-Run VASSAL (Open and Close)
“java.exe” remains in the task manager

Please try the current Windows build, 3.2.9-svn8963:
