I just downloaded this program yesterday with the intent of getting the Game of Thrones module so I could play online with my brother and friends. The program downloaded and installed with no issues whatsoever. But, now, any time I click on a link to download a module nothing happens. I thought maybe the site was just running a little slow. But, after (literally) 10 minutes of letting it sit nothing had happened. This is a problem with every module link I click on. My cursor changes to the rotating circle and that’s it. I’ve made sure my browser is up to date, I tried using two different browsers, I’ve run virus, malware and spyware scans on my computer, and I’ve made sure that java, and flash or both up to date as well and I’m still having the same problem. My brother has had no problems downloading modules. So, I know this is a problem on my end. Any thoughts about why this is happening? Suggestions on how to fix it?

Neither Java nor Flash are relevant for being able to download modules
from our site.
Which GoT module are you trying to download?

Specifically GameOfThrones_v1.30.vmod. But, I have this issue with any mod I try to download.

Are you behind some sort of content filter? I have no problem downloading
that module.

Not that I’m aware of. I have no problems downloading anything from anywhere else except for the modules here. I was able to download the Vassal program itself with no problems at all.

When was the last time you tried downloading a module?

Just before replying right now. I clicked on the link for the Game of Thrones module and left the computer for almost 20 minutes and my browser tab still said connecting and a tab at the bottom of screen still said “waiting for vassalengine.org…”

What happens if you try downloading with something like wget or curl?
