Since all of my pieces have display layers they all reset when using the tool. It would be easier if I could do them one at a time so I could reset them.
Thanks!

Meanwhile, if you can post a link to your module and provide instructions to see the problem reproduced, or better still provide a simple demo module, I would like to look into it.
I’m not quite sure what it is you are trying to acheive and what the problem is. Perhaps you could explain it at bit more (apart from, as @marktb1961 said, provide your module).
If I were to guess, it seems like you are trying to refresh piece definitions in either a save or log file. What you seem to indicate, is that the state of each trait in the pieces are reset to their default values. However, in your save or log file you have assigned some non-default states to some of the pieces, and you’d like to preserve that state.
For example, in a save file, the piece German 2nd panzer corps is saved as having suffered one step loss, and the piece has therefore been flipped to show its reverse side. When you run the piece refresher tool, the German 2nd panzer corps is flipped to its full-strength side because the state of the relevant Layer trait is reset.
Is this correctly understood?
If you’re not afraid to do a bit of coding, you could use my Python module pywargame to manipulate the save, log, or module file.

Christian
You can also restore settings using the post-refresh hotkey feature. However, I am surprised that layers are such a big issue. Possibly I just don’t use layers in the same way and haven’t noticed the problem myself, hence interested to learn more.
Well the regiments have between 1 and 8 figures with each representing so many troops, the default is 1 figure so I place the unit on a map set the proper strength and save the game then if I add a feature to the unit and rule the tool that refreshes they all go back to 1 figure since it is the default.
It would be great to be able to run the tool on a single unit at a time that way I would not have to record all the details of all units to set them back. Post refresh hotkey what is that??
