This morning at 3:30am EST the vassal server and the vassal game I was playing crashed. Did anyone experience the same. Everytime I got back on the server my name and my opponents where already in a room and could not synchronize. What happened there? Had to quit the game.

Nope, neither the machine nor the game server crashed: The machine has
been up for 47 days, and the game server shows having used 130 hours
of CPU time right now. What you saw was a connectivity problem.
