Socket Error

Hi, Recently and Im not xactly certain what changed in particular but I decided to load up vassal and play a little warmachine using the newest version of the module. I had used it previously and all worked fine. this time however I got a socket error when trying to load the module. uninstalled and reiinstalled vassal, java, the JRE and the warmahcine module. Still an issue. downloaded the malifaux module and am having the same error. Heres a copy of the error log.

It appears as though for some reason vassal cant access the java executable. I dont know why and I dont know how to fix it. Any siggestions.

Reinstalling VASSAL and the module will virtually never help. If you’re
having a problem starting VASSAL, the problem is almost always with
Java.

java.util.concurrent.ExecutionException: java.io.IOException: Cannot
run program “C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\java”: CreateProcess
error=5, Access is denied

That’s indeed the problem. Does C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\java
exist?

J.

Yes it does. Traveling to the folder manually seems to work fine. there is a prompt when I do so asking if this is ok but other then that it seems to work fine.

Are you running some sort of anti-virus software which could be
blocking VASSAL from launching Java?
