OK, that seems… oddly specific. Is there a reason for that?
Anyway, tried John_Company_Second_Edition and just got the same APIError: 401 Unauthorized: Unauthorized as everyone else. But then I tried logging out and in again and to my surprise seem to have got in.
I couldn’t find a way to edit player count, game length, or tags.
After adding “packages”, there seems to be no way to delete them or rename them.
Also, it seems the cover image gets broken if you edit the title or similar, and has to be re-uploaded/selected each time. I’m guessing there’s some unwritten requirement for image dimensions that mine is breaking.
After experimenting with “packages” fields, I eventually got the same “unexpected token” result as everyone else when I tried to upload.
The Herman_Wu account is a placeholder account. Placeholder accounts were created during the conversion when we couldn’t match maintainers or contributors in the old wiki with email addresses or forum accounts.
Thanks Joel, that would explain why I could not access the ‘Herman_Wu’ account.
These OCS modules need ‘fumanpo’ to be added for privileges:
Baltic Gap, The Blitzkrieg Legend, Tunisia, Enemy at the Gates, Sicily II, Reluctant Enemies, DAK2, Burma, Korea (The Forgotten War), Hube’s Pocket, Sicily (Triumph & Folly), The Third Winter, Hungarian Rhapsody, Crimea (Conquest & Liberation), Luzon.
These Line of Battle/RSS modules also need the same add:
This Terrible Sound, A Fearful Slaughter, South Mountain, None but Heroes, Last Chance for Victory, To Take Washington.
Thank you.
OK. I search now sorted by Recent Updates. I downloaded La Bataille Lutzen 1.0, but the library says the latest update is 1.2 but no link to download the most current. ???
If you check the old page for the module, you’ll find that there is no 1.2.0 version of the module there, either. It appears that a newer version has not been uploaded.
I’ve merged the Herman_Wu user into fumanpo. You should find that everywhere Herman_Wu appeared before, fumanpo does now. Does that solve the problem for you?
I am listed as the Project Owner of “Reluctant Enemies” an OCS module. The profile name is the first part of my email: combatengineerjr however my actual profile name is combatengineer. So I can’t add the actual owners of the project, they had sent me an email requesting my help. The actual owner are Herman Wu(profile fumanpo) and Jeff Coyle (profile wargamerx).
Looks like most of the other modules I own have the correct owner name, combatengineer, for example the game Red Strike.
The reason the combatengineerjr user is listed as an owner now is that it’s the username from John Rainey’s email address, and he’s listed as a maintainer on the old module page.
I’ve created 4 new projects (it seemed easier to me to just remove the original instead of trying to cut it down to only cover 1 of the 4 versions), and set up the basic skeletons. I’ll send a PM with the details for what file belongs where.
I’m noticing that the box images from the projects I added all vanish once I refresh the page, but the box image from the original Terraforming Mars project (which I simply downloaded and then re-uploaded to the 4 new projects) does not.
Right-clicking on the empty space where the image should be and selecting “Copy Image Link” gives what looks like a good link, but actually trying to follow that link gives a page with the following text: “AccessDeniedobj.vassalengine.orgtx00000ef5207c227b24bb1-00683f1ee1-131f27b2b-default131f27b2b-default-default”
I missed setting the Category category to be protected from edits. Thanks for spotting this. If you see anything else in the old wiki which is still editable, please let me know.
It has solved the issue for some, but not all, of the OCS modules in question. The user ‘wargamerx’ has tried to add me manually as well, but he is running into error messages and being denied permission to do so.
These are the remaining OCS modules that need ‘fumanpo’ added for privileges:
DAK2, Korea (The Forgotten War), Reluctant Enemies, Hungarian Rhapsody, The Third Winter, Crimea (Conquest & Liberation), Sicily II, Luzon (Race for Bataan).
And these are the remaining LOB/RSS modules that need the same:
This Terrible Sound, A Fearful Slaughter, South Mountain, None but Heroes, Last Chance for Victory, To Take Washington.
