Because of COVID-19, many of the practice/training sessions (a.k.a. exercises) at The Command and General Staff College were canceled due to the need to keep individuals separated geographically when these exercises tended to be lots of people-around-a-table type of events. By creating some custom modules in-house, the students have been able to continue their training using VASSAL and remotely logging in from their computers at their homes. Some of this training involves rehearsing for humanitarian assistance missions wherever a natural disaster might happen. So a heartfelt thank you to all of the contributors to this wonderful piece of extremely useful software.
