The registry refers to nonexistent Java Runtime Environment

I updated VASSAL today, and as I opened up the file, this message came forth:

'The registry refers to nonexistent Java Runtime Environment installation or the runtime is corrupted.

Impossible to find the file specified’

Has anyone encountered and solved this issue?

Ok, I solved this issue by downloading the Microsoft helper program from the Java website. This program helps installing or uninstalling programs on your computer including all the registry keys. I uninstalled java and reinstalled it. Now Vassal works again!
