Triaging bugs

Joel,

I started triaging bugs tonight–I did a search for all medium priority open bugs starting with ABR. But this presented me with bugs that have already been triaged. How can I tell whether a bug’s been triaged already?

The first two I looked at, 2366, 2363 have comments from you that suggested you couldn’t reproduce the bug. Can we make bugs like this RESOLVED WORKSFORME?

If we’re ever in a position where we need something to work on, we could always go back and search through the RESOLVED WORKSFORME bugs later on to see if we can reproduce them.

I’m concerned that if we leave the bugs we can’t reproduce in the triage inbasket, then a couple of things will happen:

  1. the triage in basket will keep growing.
  2. triagers won’t have a way of distinguishing triaged bugs from non-triaged bugs.

Ken

Also, I saw a couple of bugs in NEW WONTFIX status. Can we change these to RESOLVED WONTFIX?

In both cases, somebody left an email address. I always leave a note if
I’ve emailed the user for details, so in both cases that means no one
has contacted the users to find out if they can reproduce the problems.
Someone should do that.
