It appears that, occasionally, random commands are generated in the Twilight Struggle. I had never seen it before, but someone had reported some very odd behaviour recently, and it is only just now that I’ve actually seen it happen. The late-war deck got sent to the draw pile spontaneously. In addition the discards were reshuffled into the deck for no apparent reason.
In the past, I had only played this module with another player who was on a Linux box, but this time, my opponent was on Windows Vista. If anyone else has seen this, could they please let me know? And even better, do they have any insight at all as to what might be going on?
I’m going to be investigating this bug over the next couple of days (until I figure out what’s going on).
Followup: I think I’ve figured out the problem even though I don’t really
understand how this can occur (or why it would be platform dependent). I
will be posting a new version in the near future that may correct this.
