This first bit looks like you’re trying to open some file which is
not a module.

The problem here is that your machine isn’t able to resolve
[www.vassalengine.org](http://www.vassalengine.org) to an IP address. That can happen for various
reasons, such as: Your machine made a failed lookup earlier and still
has a bad result in its DNS cache, the DNS server you asked made a
failed lookup earlier and still has a bad result in its cache, our
DNS server was temporarily unreachable. All of these should be transient
problems.
