Vassal not saving my logs as .vlog

I am playing an e-mail game using vassal, when I save my log to mail to my opponent it has stopped adding the extension .vlog to my files.

Why did it stop doing this?

I don’t know, but you can manually add the extension by just saving to a filename like

“turn005.vlog”

when you save the logfile yourself.
