Vassal won't launch. (OSX)

Hi. I’ve tried the two lates versions of VASSAL on my Macbook Pro (Snow Leopard 10.6.6). But nothing happens when I launch the apps. They “pop out” like when you launch mac apps, but then nothing happens. As if they crash right away. No error message.

Latest mac updates.

Vassal version: 3.1.15 and 3.1.14

Tried running 32 Bit mode, tried running Rosetta mode, tried giving privileges to all users (read/write)

I have another Mac Pro (not the laptop), running the same Snow Leopard. And everything seems to work fine there.

Java should update itself on the Mac.

Anything I don’t know of?

Or maybe a faulty installation? How do I remobe every trace of installation, so that I can make a clean reinstall?

Fixed it.

Tried to use the script installer package. (The .SH) files.

Renamed the .SH to .COMMAND

But didn’t work.

Then renamed the vassal directory to “VASSAL”

Moved it into the Root directory of the user

The went into the directory again, and ran the .command file.

Worked

On a Mac, you should be using the bundle for OS X. Does that work
for you?
