Vassal won't open

I have 3.2.4 installed and it last worked a couple days ago. Then today it won’t open. The only thing I’ve done was update Avast and installed Malwarebytes anti-malware. The malwares install was pretty straightforward but to update Avast I had to remove it using the Avast utility remover before reloading the latest version. Everything else works but Vassal. I even tried to remove Vassal and re-install, but nothing. Anyone had and tips? Since I can’t seem to fix it one way the other way is reformatting and I want to avoid that if I have to.

Nevermind. Just went to the last Restore point and that seemed to fix it. Still never did figure out what happened.

Thanks for the link. I had updated JAVA but didn’t think that would’ve caused the problem as JAVA had never caused anything like this before. It does make sence as the Restore point was before the JAVA update.
