Downloaded the zip version and doubleclicked on the ms-dos batch file.
Java seems to be ok on machine.
Have 3.14 working ok but cannot get newer version to run

If you’re using Windows, then you should have installed the Windows bundle.
That would be the one named “VASSAL-3.1.12-windows.exe”.
I’ll look into why the batch file doesn’t work, however, as it should.

same machine will run the 3.1.4 but not 3.1.9 or the latest.
The computer is a ‘non-install’ type by owners if you know what I mean.

I have found a way to make file work, the afore-mentioned compure is connected to a network. If I put the files on the C drive it works properly. Thanks for your continued support.
