Preferences are WWII wargames, mostly hex and counter, though will do other kinds of gaming sometimes. I’ve been a hermit and intend to continue being so, but I highly recommend for the local denizens of Columbus, Ohio, that you look into the Columbus Area Boardgaming Society (CABS) which maintains a group facebook page as well as their own website. The membership is quite large and very diverse.
