Best suited games?

I’ve been playing a couple games pbem now, and I’ve found that there are some that play extremely well PBeM, and others that… well… play as well as strip poker in an old age home.

I’m wondering for people’s opinions on which games/modules were really born to be played as pbem. So far, I’ve found the following play quite smoothly/quickly:

Small World (absolutely no out-of-sequence activity)
Space Empires 4x (I would have serious misgivings bringing this back to the tabletop after playing it PBeM; and early on you can take all three moves and your econ together, until there’s a chance of player interaction)
Eclipse (Even though it’s single actions in rounds, it still plays through pretty quickly, I think)
Mage Knight Boardgame (depending on how much pvp happens)

So, what are your thoughts? Since moving to a different city I’ve been a bit boardgame deprived, so have thoroughly enjoyed playing some games PBeM with my brother and my regular group back in the city I came from.

Thanks!

There are hundreds of wargames which don’t contain interrupts. Any of
those would work excellently for PBeM.
