Can´t choose a player side with Vassal 3.2.12

With the new 3.2.12 Version, it can happen, that i have no Players side choice, if i load a scenario,
(tried it with the Command&Colors Napoleonics module)

so i have only the possibility, to do a detour and retire first, then i can choose the side with
“Join another side”.

But this happens not with all presetup scenarios, only with - Austrian Scenarios for example and with setups,
which are done into the extension.

I using Windows 7, 64bit, latest Java Version 8 - update 5

Which Austrian scenarios? I tried Wertingen, Günzburg, and Haslach-
Jungingen and was able to choose a side.

If i load any austrian (or fanmade scenario in the extension) i get no side to choose,
the game open direct and i am “Observer”.
If i play with Vassal 3.2.11 all works correct.

What’s in the file Commands_20__26__20_Colors_3A__20_Napoleonics in
VASSAL’s prefs directory? (Note that your password is in that file,
so you might want to obscure that if you post the file here.) VASSAL’s
prefs directory is in the same directory as the errorLog.

what should be the Name of the logfile, maybe i can search it direct.

It’s possible that the directory is hidden by default. The name of the
file is Commands_20__26__20_Colors_3A__20_Napoleonics.

Do you get different behavior when loading the Austrian scenarios if you change your password in the Preferences dialog?

Explanation of the problem: The Austrian scenarios have the same
password for the observer player as you have set for the module.
VASSAL recognized that, and assigns you the observer. This is a bug
in the module—scenarios should not have a password assigned for
the observer.

You might want to let the maintainer of the module know that this is a
problem.
