Reverting back.
VASSAL will not run at all and tells me that java.exe has been quarantined by my security system.
Hopefully a reversion will get things working again.

I’m guessing that you are on windows. Resolving a quarantine issue is covered in the last section of the trouble-shooting tips. I hope that helps, if not perhaps someone with windows knowledge can provide more specific help.
You need to tell your AV software not to quarantine java.exe, and please also report the problem to your AV vendor. That’s the only way this kind of problem will get fixed.
