Can't open Mac DMG

Vassal: 3.7.16
OS: OSX 15.4.1
Memory: 16 GB

Donloaded DMG file from Vassal website. Ran DMG and moved the app to my applications folder. Recieved this message when trying to open:

Apple could not verify “VASSAL.app” is free of malware that may harm your Mac or compromise your privacy.

Tried again. failed again. Also restarted my computer and tried again. Failed. Previous version of Vassal 3.7.15 works fine.
