The last update of Carcassonne (3.0.1) doesn’t load. After waiting few minutes, Vassal tell me to allocate more memory. I tried to do it without success (i have 12Go RAM). I updated Java too but it keeps to crash. i thought about a problem with java plugin: i need to stop the process java.exe (not javaw.exe) with ctrl + alt +sup to close Vassal.
I can edit the module but i can’t open it

To what did you set the max heap for the module?

I set mine to 1/4 of my total RAM (so set to 4000 out of 16000 since I have 16 GB of RAM) on both the initial and the max heap. I still get the Out of Memory error like the OP is getting. This is just for the core game and we did not load any extensions.

My guess is that you have your max heap set too high, and that your
machine has no contiguous 4GB block of unallocated memory. Try a max
heap more like 768MB.
