Hi,
I have recently been playing High Frontier over Vassal. I have been “hosting” the game and one friend has been joining. Sometimes his connection drops and he has to reconnect, then join the room again (at which point there will be “two of him” visible in the room) and then right click on my name and “Synchronise”. Then all is fine.
These drops have never happened “suddenly” - they seem to happen when there has been a period (of maybe 5 or 10 minutes) of time during which the game state has not changed.
Is there a timeout limit in Vassal? If not, is there a “keep alive” feature? Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Muchas gracias.

Neither exist.

Try to determine if the problem is nearer to your end, such as with
your ISP or router. (Chances are it is, since we seldom get reports
of this kind of problem since we moved to host with a more reliable
internet connection.)

Thanks for the reply. I will work on that assumption and report back if I discover the issue!
