There seem to be no way to contact the 1989 module developer. Nor a suggestion or bug report feature.
Are we meant to post here and hope for the best?
Seems a great way to get ourselves stagnant modules.

Rob Doane, the maintainer of the 1989 module, it also the maintainer of
several other modules. His email address is listed for several of those.
You can find them by searching for “Doane” in the wiki. When you email
him, let him know that (1) he doesn’t have the same address listed for
all of his modules, and (2) he has no address listed for some of his
modules, and ask him to correct that.
