Creating Vassal modules

Is there anyone here who would be willing to make a vassal module for me or point me to where one might find someone willing to do so? I have a board game I’ve created/designed and would like to try it out but the vassal interface is a bit overwhelming for making modules to me.

PM me with some idea of what the game is about and I might be interested. I’m working on my To Be King module for personal use among my gaming group right now but I should be done with that soon.

I would say that the best way to learn Vassal is to pull out some of the modules and look at each of the individual parts (on the edit screen). Then when you are looking at the part, press HELP at the bottom of the window. It will pull up a description and all of the modifiers.Start with simple modules.

Thought I’d tap into BGG’s collective wisdom and ask for pointers to the best help available on the same subject. Next to any other advice you might have to offer.

Is it best to start off working through the tutorials under the following link?

No–search YouTube for Joel Toppen’s module making series. It’s far better than anything in the wiki here.

Launch the VASSAL module editor. Click on “New Module” to begin a new module. You will see two new windows come up. One is the main control window for playing a game. https://jiofilocalhtml.run https://forpc.onl

I agree Joel Toppen videos are the best way to start. Begin with lesson 2. Here is a link. youtube.com/watch?v=qQ2HAHY … Hv&index=2
