Here is a thought. Based on using the export/import XML capability of the new Vassal.
Can we please create the capability to specify a, User Defined, default directory/folder for the XML saves and subsequent imports to other modules.
Regular pain in the proverbial going from one modules save dir/fold to another entirely separate dir/folder for another module to import that AML file.
One could also extend this basic premise to add in/include the same user capability for:
saved games, load games, etc.
Preferences are, after all, due to the user. An arbitrary linkage to the last dir/folder accessed when I really wanted ‘that dir/folder’ for this action is so dated.
