hi there.
I’m using a dell xps (L702X) laptop. This laptop comes with 2 video cards. The intel integrated one control only the primary screen and the nvidia card control the secondary screen connected to the laptop. The second screen is configured to be an extend of my descktop . If I launch vassal and move any windows on the scond screen, it freeze and crash. My bet is that it is a java problem. Still, you might have an idea of how to bypass this problem.

how to bypass this problem.

I thought there’d be an exception in the log from within Java’s AWT, but there’s not.
VASSAL has no code in it which does anything one way or the other with multiple monitors, and if a Java program crashes your machine, it’s by definition not a bug in the Java program, it’s a bug in the JVM, in one of the libraries the JVM relies on, or in the OS. So whatever’s happening, the cause isn’t within any code we control.
Maybe try a different version of Java (Java 7?), and check whether that makes a difference.
