Enhanced autocenter

It would be nice to be able to add some actions to the autocenter feature. Such as:

Counter placement
Counter flipping
Counter removal

This would help me in a lot of games where I’m firing artillery or doing other activities that aren’t necessarily moving counters on the map. Even more ideas would be a preferences section where the options could be selected or not depending on the player’s desire etc.

Could you elaborate on this some? I don’t understand how these actions
are related to centering the map view.
