After making a large map, I think I saved my map as the wrong file type. The button I used was the camera that says “save map as PNG file.” So I messed up. Is there any way I can convert this file back to .vsav? I tried simply changing the file extension and that didn’t work.
Question is: Can I still use my map on Vassal and how? If not, what would you suggest?

That button is for taking a snapshot of the map as an image. The
quickest way to use that image to recover your saved game is to
consult the image as you redo your setup.
